Birds Eye Pepper Capsicum annum glabriusculum
Birds Eye Pepper (Capsicum annum glabriusculum) very pretty when used as an ornamental; small round bright red peppers cover this plant in summer. These small peppers are perfect for cooking...great in sauces, put them in salsa...endless possibilities. Pepper sauce was ALWAYS on my grandmothers dinner table...used at her house on greens or peas! Usually will get killed back in winter, but does come back in relatively mild winters.
4" pots available
EASY RECIPE for PEPPER SAUCE:
1. You will need a small glass container/bottle. 2. Place ripe peppers (ripe when red) in the container. Fill the bottle about 3/4 of the way to the top with peppers. 3. Fill bottle with white vinegar. 4. Seal bottle and enjoy.
This can get really hot, so use with caution. Sauce is really good on leafy greens, or just about any vegetable. Nice addition to soups, salsa, or stews.
