Yucca filamentosa (Adam's Needle/Bear Grass) Very drought tolerant. Looks like a small palm, but has characteristics of a perennial.  Evergreen silver-green foliage is very attractive. In summer tall lush flower stalk appears from the center of the plant. Very showy.
