Liatris spicata (Blazing Star) can grow up to 5ft when in bloom; late summer-fall purple spikes can be a length of 2.5ft; spectacular when planted en masse!! Can take moist sites. FULL SUN for best blooms!

Healthy, Robust plants
Five native Liatris Spicata arrived quickly and well wrapped. There wasn't one spec of loose dirt in the box. Plants came with healthy roots and rich dirt--just minus the plastic nursery container. These resemble a very full chive plant, and decorate the flower bed like small grasses, so not having blooms yet is just fine. They love the heat and are thriving in full sun and at this growth rate I expect blooms soon. Healthy plants at a great price: I highly recommend these plants.
