I was glad that it had already leafed out, it perked up after a good watering and seems very healthy.

I was very pleased with the shipping container and the quality of the Leatherwood shrub I received. I had read that it is a shrub that is highly underused so I am very excited because it can be in the shade also.

    Leatherwood shrub

We purchased 3 leatherwood shrubs. The time from order date to arrival was minimal. They arrived to our Minnesota home in great condition. I was impressed with how they were laid into the box with recyclable material and the root balls were carefully encased in plastic. Thank you for the care you took in shipping our plants.

    Great hard to find native

Last year I purchased 3 small and this year I purchased 1 larger shrub. They all are doing just fine. This is good for shady areas and fits well in a small woodland garden as it's 3-6' tall and 4-6' wide at maturity. The leaves are a pretty clean green and I recommend it.

This plant arrived quickly and in excellent condition. It was well insulated from the vagaries of shipping with a good amount of shredded newspaper. It's been in the ground for about two weeks and looks perfectly healthy and happy. I saw a gorgeous specimen at a local public garden years ago and am excited to be growing one in my own back yard.
