1 gallon Needle Palm (Rhapidophyllum Hystrix)

I was very impressed with the value. What a deal! I bought three 1 gallon and thrree 3 gallon plants. What a great price! They arrived quickly. They were packed nicely. I was very happy with their size and condition on arrival. I can't wait until it warms up a bit over here in Zone 5b so I can get outside and plant them. Right now they are potted and doing well inside after several weeks.

The absolute best needles for sale online for the best price! These are cold hardy to at least 5°F without damage. This particular strain has been trialed in central Arkansas for ten years.

    Needle Palm

I have had these palms growing in Hopewell Township, NJ near Trenton and Princeton, as well as at the Jersey Shore. At the former, they survived -5 deg. F temperatures with no apparent damage. At the shore, they developed into beautiful large bushy clumps of palms. In my estimation, and I am not an expert, they should do well in Zone 6b. I am now trying them in West Orange, another Zone 6b area. That all being said, I shopped around for this hard to get item, and found Mail Order Natives had the best price and shipped very nice specimens.

    Great service and great prices

I ordered eight needle palms in order to create a hedge. They all arrived in excellent condition, and I was surprised at the size of them as well. For the money, and considering the time it takes for needle palms to grow, Mail Order Natives is certainly one of the best sources online for purchasing palms.

    an experiment

Good packaging, plant was undamaged. I appreciated the nice rootball in the bag. This area, near Rochester in upstate NY will give it a real challenge. We have been getting warmer winters lately so it might make it. -I have a winter place near Inverness so I'm familiar with palms: have four large Pindos, a Cabbage (Sabal) palm and lots of saw palmettos in the jungle behind me.

    Favorite Plant!

Have ordered many of these plants over the years from Mail Order Natives. None have ever died and the older ones are now large and beautiful. Exotic looking, tough and trouble free. Plants from MON are larger and healthier than any other source.
