Description

Hamelia patens (Firebush) semi woody shrub; red tubular summer flowers attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. In our north Florida garden (zone 8), if we have cold winters, it will die back to the ground, but will usually resprout and grow again for the next season.

    Gorgeous, healthy, well packaged NATIVE firebushes. I ordered 2 and I am very happy with them. I've been trying to find the true FL native variety firebushes for over a year. Local nurseries kept offering me non-native types. These are the real deal. They were a good size on arrival, and pruned well. Thank you so much for these beauties!! The birds and pollinators will love them.

    Plant came in perfect condition and it is very healthy. I have 3 others and this will be in the flower bed with the other ones. I can't wait to see them next spring when they come back.

    My landscaper had help that cut down two of the plants. They were doing great especially after I had to transplant one. When you get them let me know. I will need 3.

    It seems the plants suffered in the shipping. I've potted them and put them in dappled sunlight. Hoping for a recovery. I live in zone 10 so I probably should have waited for the winter months to order. It's still summer here.

    I almost bought a new firebush plant at a local plant sale. In the end, I am glad I waited to make the purchase from Mail Order Natives. My entire order arrived in great shape and all eight plants are now thriving a week later in my St. Augustine yard. This was my first order from this company after years and many orders from the larger native plant catalog companys located in the Midwest US. I have found a new place to order my native plants. I could not be happier!

    I ordered 3 Firebushes and received them on time as expected.They were nice and healthy and well packed. They're growing nicely in the yard now. I highly recommend your nursery for my future orders.
