Juncus effusus (Soft Rush or Common Rush) is a perennial that flowers May-August and reaches about 4 feet in height. Grows in clumps and is found naturally across the United States. Commonly occurs in wet areas. Good for planting around ponds or in low areas or meadows. Can tolerate standing water or garden soil. Can tolerate dry periods once established. Plant in full sun to partial shade.
