Myrica cerifera (Waxmyrtle) 8-20ft evergreen often used as a hedge; great for the border; preferred food source and cover for birds.
Waxmyrtle is an extremely versatile evergreen that can harbor many different looks for different spaces. If can be trimmed into a "tree-form" style that allows for perennials or groundcovers to thrive underneath the canopy. When sheared, it can provide a formal hedge; or it can left untrimmed to form a natural border.
SIZE: 1 gallon
The wax myrtles were absolutely fantastic. They were healthy, full and had been pre-pruned and arrived. on time. I had delayed the deliver date.. I am very pleased!
Very good specimens received for the price. Would buy again if I can need more.
Very healthy plant shipped. I am very happy with this plant.
I had trouble finding this and was very happy to find it here, even though the only size was one gallon. They shipped exactly when I asked, it arrived the next day and looks very healthy.
The first set of 20 arrived looking great but I am pretty sure I might have killed them since I am very inexperienced. Amy responded quickly to all my questions and even sent replacements for the ones that we couldn't resuscitate! I would recommend them to anyone and I plan to use them again. I cannot wait until my privacy screen around my pool is complete. Thank you very much Amy.
Shipment time as described. Plants came packed with dirt.
I had some planted in full sun and shade. Bought plants in April, and now it is June, all the plants have new growth. Very happy with my order.
I had this shipped in the summer (not during a heat wave, but still, June) to Georgia and, even with summer planting and shipping during non-dormancy, it has done amazing! Already in just this first season, it has tripled it's size. Mail Order Natives does ship young trees that are just getting started, but it doesn't matter because EVERYTHING I have ordered from this company is so healthy and strong, they grow fast. This is a beautiful, ever green shrub that's still pretty even now in January, and it's growing well for me in a part sun clay area between me and my neighbors. I hope that in a few years it will be giving me lots of privacy. Great native alternative to Chinese Privet hedge up here!
