Description

Polystichum acrostichoides (Christmas Fern) grows 1-2 ft. in height and spread. It tolerates dry-moist soils and performs best in shade. It is an evergreen with lance-shaped leaves that are still green during Christmas season; hence the name. Does not spread, but makes nice large clumps.

    Past failures with clump forming ferns (opposite rhizome forming types) is the strength of the crown to stand erect, and not topple over. My plants were well grown; the movement during shipping did not cause any serious strength issues.
