    Great Hoptree

I ordered this hoptree last fall and planted it in the ground, in a shady area. Over winter, the leaves died back, and it looked like a dead stick in the ground. But it leafed out quickly in spring. Now it even has buds on it. It's a healthy plant, and I'm excited to see its continued growth.

This company is awesome. They kept me informed of the status of my order, corrected a mistake I made in the initial order, and sent me a plant that looked wonderful, like it had just left the nursery the day before. Plant is now thriving in my yard. Thank you!

Very healthy plant. Packed well with no damage. More than happy with purchase. This is not an easy plant to find and they gave me a great plant at very reasonable price.

    Ptelea trifoliata

These hops trees arrived in excellent condition, pretty tall, with plenty of roots. I planted them in a well drained raised bed, knowing that they need fast drainage. on either side of another one I'd already planted in the middle. I'm adding to my hoptrees, because the giant swallowtails laid so many eggs on the one I have, need more. Not a showy plant, but if you're a butterfly lover, this one is a must - tiger swallowtails will sometimes lay their eggs on it, too.

The hoptree arrived in good shape with the root ball wrapped in plastic and still moist on the inside. Thanks a lot.

I have a full sun steep slope on clay that I'm trying to cover quickly with shrubs and trees (preferably natives for my zone). I picked hoptree because of its fast growth, unusual leaves, drought tolerance, neat seed display and the fact that it is a rare host plant for the largest native USA swallowtail butterfly. MailOrderNatives sent a beautiful in-leaf sapling nearing 3 feet tall! I couldn't be happier and the little guy is doing very well in his new home!
