Pycnanthemum albescens or Whiteleaf Mountain Mint is a wonderful pollinator perennial that blooms in July through September and has a wonderful minty fragrance. It has light purple/white flowers but is characterized by its striking silvery white bracts under the blooms. It can reach about 4 feet tall in bloom. It is found native in the Eastern United States (FL, TX, OK, southern VA). It can tolerate dry to moist loamy soil and does well in full sun-partial shade. Found naturally in low wooded areas. (Many sources point out that the name "mountain mint" is somewhat misleading).
