- Leaves: resemble leaves of a willow tree, up to 5 inches long, slender linear, narrowly oblong, sometimes wavy margins, bright-dark green
- Fall color: yellow to light brown
- Produces spherical acorns
- Tree size: up to 70 feet tall and 50 feet wide
- Native in Eastern United States
- Hardy to zones 6-9
- Use: Excellent landscape tree, good for wildlife
