R. 'Admiral Semmes' is a very nice yellow-flowered selection.

(From the "Confederate Series" of native azaleas). "The Confederate Series" was selected from a cross of Rhododendron austrinum and Rhododendron x 'Hotspur Yellow'. The cross was made by Bob Schwindt; seeds were planted from the plants, and selections were made by Bob himself to make up the popular "Confederate Series" of native azaleas. These azaleas do well in the deep south heat and humidity.

    Packaging was great. Only lost 4 buds in shipping but all plants looked good. A few were a little bare but they all have green sprouts coming out. I planted them right away and it has been two weeks today since I received them and some have flowers. I would love to review in about a month to give a better review on the plants that lost their buds.

    My rhodie was a great price and shipped quickly. It is only a one gallon but I hope it will grow quickly. When the plant arrived it was packed well with no damage and in great condition. I was initially concerned that it was not in a pot but the root ball was tightly secured and easy to plant without the bulkiness of a plastic pot but not bare rooted. It has only been a week but it is already starting to bud out. Can’t wait to see the beautiful yellow

    Just as my order 3 years ago, this order arrived as scheduled and was packed quite well. The plants were in excellent condition and nice size with flower buds. Looking forward to when the buds open up. I will enjoy these for many years. Thank you Mail Order Natives!

    All plants were received in fantastic condition. Packaged well, plant root balls were still moist. We have planted all of them and will hopefully see them flourish threw the year!
