Rhododendron x 'Stonewall Jackson' has large orange-red flowers. Very nice heavy blooming selection.
(From the "Confederate Series" of native azaleas). "The Confederate Series" was selected from a cross of Rhododendron austrinum and Rhododendron x 'Hotspur Yellow'. The cross was made by Bob Schwindt; seeds were planted from the plants, and selections were made by Bob himself to make up the popular "Confederate Series" of native azaleas. These azaleas do well in the deep south heat and humidity.
Second photo: This is one of our large stock plants! The plant you order will have come from cuttings off of this beauty!

Quality
I was very pleased with the quality of both the product and the packing that it was shipped in. Also, the personal message that was enclosed was a thoughtful touch. I look forward to next spring to see the blooms. Thanks!

Flame Azalea
I ordered 2 of the "Stonewall Jackson" flame azaleas, along with a Coral Bean, Southern Shield Fern and 2 "Henry's Garnet" Virginia Sweetspire. All of my plants arrived healthy and happy - packaging and shipping were exceptional. All 6 were planted just prior to a nice rain and have settled in nicely in their new homes. We are looking forward to seeing them grow and flourish!
