Large plants -- will do well in my garden

Posted by Lisa Mallahan on Jun 22nd 2022

This year's plants arrived in great condition again. S. coccinea does well in my area, and our bees and hummingbirds enjoy it lots, but I often have trouble finding plants to buy locally. Have been thrilled with the plants from Mail Order Natives, which actually ship larger than the local plants I've occasionally found, settling in quickly and blooming profusely. Thank you!

    Pay attention to your soil

Posted by Aaron Palmieri on Jul 25th 2020

I have purchased scarlet sage for the pollinator garden at work and for a 2'x2' raised bed around my mailbox at the house. I will say definitely pay attention to your soil. The plants at the pollinator garden at work are alive and flowering but do not look particularly good but I know that is entirely my own fault. The scarlet sage around my mailbox however is double the size it was when I planted it back in May! I originally thought I would have to use more than 3 plants to fill in around the mailbox but the 3 sages I planted have filled in the entire thing! Great plants and they arrived in excellent condition. I live in zone 8B and they have been blooming since they arrived in the mail. Highly recommend!

Lovely plants, can't wait to see them bloom

Very pleased that these plants arrived so large and robust -- esp. as they'll be annuals in my climate. Too early for them to start flowering yet, but I expect they'll keep my pollinators happy this season!

As usual, the plants came in in great shape and have adapted well. They have been in the ground a few weeks now and are growing rapidly!
