    Lovely Ferns for Shady Beds in My Yard

    My Southern Shield ferns arrived in excellent condition. Each item was a nice-sized clump, with a good root system and no dead vegetation on top. They really looked like they were ready to grow! I put them in a spot with rich, somewhat clay-ey soil that does drain fairly well. I'm hoping that they like it there and will spread around the hostas that I also have there. Btw, I thought that Mail Order Natives's price for these plants was quite reasonable. Good value for the money.
