Description

'Don's Dwarf' Wax Myrtle has been a highly requested wax myrtle cultivar because it is such a versatile landscape option! It has a low compact growing habit and is very adaptable to different soils and conditions. It does well in poor soil and drought tolerant once established, but it also does well in wet boggy locations. It is salt tolerant and thrives in full sun to partial shade. It is more resistant to leaf spot than the standard wax myrtle. Reaches 3-4 feet tall and about 6 feet wide. Commonly used for low shrubbery and erosion control. Produces blue/gray waxy berries that wildlife enjoy. All female plants.

Zones 7-9 (through zone 10 in some areas)
