'Don's Dwarf' Waxmyrtle has been a highly requested waxmyrtle cultivar because of its very versatile landscape option! It has a low compact growing habit and is very adaptable to different soils and conditions. It does well in poor soil and drought tolerant once established but it also does well in wet boggy locations. It is salt tolerant and thrives in full to partial shade. It is more resistant to leaf spot than the standard waxmyrtle. Reaches 3-4 feet tall and about 6 feet wide. Commonly used for low shrubbery and erosion control. Produces blue/gray waxy berries that wildlife enjoy. All female plants.
